Tot School – Nursery Rhyme - 5 in the bed

19 months

A short post this week. We used the song “5 (or 10) in the bed” for our theme this week.  Luath enjoys putting her toys to bed, often asking for a blanket and cuddling down next to them (for all of 10 seconds).

Books
Goodnight Little Rabbit by JP Miller is a story with a little rabbit and our book has a bed for him.

Down in the woods at sleepytime by Carole Lexa Schaefer Illustrated by Vanessa Cabban

Mostly this week was singing the song, acting out the song and playing at putting her toys to bed.  Very simple but something Luath didn’t tire of doing.  I made a bed by folding an A4 sheet of paper which Luath was fascinated to watch.

We did talk a little about where other than a bed people and animals sleep.  I attempted with Luath’s help to make a twig/long grass nest –we didn’t do a great job.

Other things
These are some of my favourite photos from this week

Luath thought sitting in puddles was a great idea. She found a snail next to one of the puddles.

We made some muddy puddle porridge adding leaves, a sprinkle of grass seeds and whatever else we could find.
Luath decided to put on my boots and was able to walk about with them on.

Find out what others were up to this week at 1+1+1=1
