Outdoors everyday – week 28

The weather started hot, then cool, then wet, cold, windy and back to hot.

 It was St Swithin’s day on the 15th July
'St. Swithin's day if thou dost rain
For forty days it will remain
St. Swithin's day if thou be fair
For forty days 'twill rain nae mair.' 
It was both fair and rain so guess that means mixed weather for the next 40 days!

Some of the things we did outdoors this week were:
Fun in the woods with grandparents.  A tiger signs trail (Wildlife Park).  Steam train watching. Visiting an outdoor living history museum.  A scavenger hunt to make a Gruffalo picture.  Skip filling.  Pony grooming.  Hair wetting (big deal).  Learning slide goes faster when wet.
