Day 1- Decide that it is more fun to go for a walk than take a nap
Day 2 - Enjoy time in the play park with a neighbour, while mummy and another two locals meet with two council men as we are aiming to get the Play Park revamped.
Day 3 - watch all the big construction vehicles on their way to and fro Day 4- Imitate the bird song
Day 5 - Hunt for natural treasure (we found a beech nut and some green sycamore wins)
Day 6 - Feel some tree bark,. (Luath accidentally knocked a piece off, which she picked up and said "puzzle" and then tried to find the space where it should go)
Day 7 - Watch a police dog display ( it was a short but great demonstration of what a sniffer and a police dog do It was a very wet afternoon.)
Background:
I read about famiglia&seoul's 365days outdoor challenge she set herself after reading Rebecca P. Cohen's Fifteen Minutes Outside: 365 Ways to Get Out of the House and Connect with Your Kids (you can get 50 ideas via Rebecca's blog if you sign up) and I also have read Greening Sam and Avery's everyday outdoor play resolution and I decided to do the same. Simple things to get more out of our outdoor time (we already are out most days dog walking) and to try and be outdoors everyday (some days it is so wild daddy walks the dog, but we will try and go outside for a little while).
(Luath is 17 months)
