Luath has recently started finding it very funny to make up silly words – usually ones that rhyme or start with similar sounding words (ping, pong, fing fong etc), so when I spied this silly picture book in the library it was a must to check out. She loves it and we both have a good giggle as we read it. The illustrations are simple line drawings with brightly coloured socks but are creative and imaginative.
We learn about sockland, where sockerals go sock-a-doodle-do, look out for snapping sockodiles and goldisocks eating the three bears porridge.

Luath is too young but it would be fun to see what creatures/objects you could draw based around a sock. We had fun using the word sock, Luath really just added it in front of things like sockdaddy, sockcup but for her this is hilarious. My best effort for sockland so far is building socks (blocks).
(Luath is 24 months)
