In a round about way we already rotate her books, both on the living room bookshelf (that she can select from) or from the basket of her weekly theme books. However even though I try to limit how many books are on the go and that we do a lot of reading, perhaps we are not doing enough repetitive reading of different books.
Luath already joins in with some of her books, in particular a new book to us "Arrrrgghh Spider", within only about 3 repeats of the book she was already joining in with the "go" word in "out you go", a phrase repeated in the book. She has her favourites (and so do we) but it will be good to try and be repetitive with a wider variety of books.
I will aim that each week she will have at least one from the weeks theme, a Gaelic book and a board book.
This week we read:
Arrggh Spider - Lydia Monks
story of a spider who wants to be a family's pet but they keep saying "Arggh spider, out you go". Picture book, with limited words, colourful pictures. This was Luath's book of the week last week and inspired our this weeks theme of Incy Wincy Spider.
Hello World - Smriti Prasadam
mainly black and white board book with splashes of shiny red. Each page has a different object - ball,, car with the word and a descriptive word i.e yum, yum for strawberry. We got this in our Baby Bookbug bag and it is usual stays in the car, but we aren't in the car that often so I brought it in for a week or two.
Mo ghoal ort (this is Mr Bear says I love you by Debi Gliori)
Board book with simple text, detailed but simple illustrations. We like Mr Bear because he babywears :) Mr Bear talks about the things he likes - ducks, geese, beetles, butterflies and ends with telling baby bear he loves him the most.

Room on the Broom - Julia Donaldson
A witch on a broom keeps dropping things, a different creatures finds it and asks to join her on the broom. They are too many for the broom, it breaks and a dragon wants to eat the witch. However the creatures save the day. My mum gave me this book this week, wasn't sure about it on the first reading but it has grown on me. It is a picture book, rhyming text, with a lot of words. Sometimes too long for Luath, but is a good length for her nap time book - she can take a while to chill.
Dig Dig Digging - Margaret Mayo
I choose this as Luath's bedtime book. Daddy likes to read it before we head upstairs to bed.This has become Luath's book of the week so it was also read at various times throughout the day not just bedtime.
Features different vehicles, each on a two page spread. Uses repetitive text to describe each vehicle. Each verse ends with "they can work all day". Ends with them all resting.
