Outdoors everyday – week 1

Last year I started to record our daily activities that we did outdoors called 7days7ways.  The aim was to add an activity to our almost daily outside time.  We did manage to spend time outdoors almost every day last year - we missed some due to illness or very bad weather.   Most days we spend time in our nearby woods while walking the dog.  Often we do the same type of activities - splashing in puddles, picking up sticks/grasses etc, singing songs, hiding....  I thought I would try and do a weekly record of some of the outdoor things we have been up to.   Some things we did this week:   We started to build a den.  We had cleared an area of brambles suckers and stones at the end of last year.  We have been finding sticks to make it more of a hidden den.     Cleared an area beside our favourite fallen tree so we can sit on smaller logs behind it.     Took some little rubber ducks for a swim in a puddle.
 

Practised going to the right, left, forward and backward, while singing our marching song.
