Toddler Kitchen – Chocolate Cornflake Trees

I spied a box of make Christmas chocolate trees in the supermarket sale section and thought it sounded worth a try.  The box made six smallish trees.

Ingredients
105g chocolate drops
35g cornflakes
icing

Method
Melt the chocolate drops and then mix cornflakes in.
Spoon mixture into a non-stick cone shaped cup (can make one out of baking parchment)
Stick lolly pop stick or similar into centre of chocolate mix

Place in fridge for about 10minutes.  It is best to place cones into a cup/glass that keeps the cone completely vertical. Peel off cone.

Mix up icing and decorate tree with the snow.

Luath had fun mixing the cornflakes into the chocolate and rolling the trees in icing.  She didn’t really like the trees, she said they tasted too crunchy.
(Luath is 23 months)
