Celebrations – Three Kings

Taking the Christmas decorations down and daddy returning to work often happens at the same time.  The living room feels so bare and we miss having daddy around.

We kept the kings and the camel from the nativity scene so they could be our table centrepiece.

We made a paper crown.  Luath loved the making but was not so keen on the wearing, although she choose to put it on backward, which would have been a great photo op.

We wore purple as it is a royal colour.  Even the dog had her purple lead on today.

I read a tradition from Puerto Rico that children at epiphany put some grass in a box, which is placed under a parent/grandparents’ bed.  Overnight the three kings visit, their camels eat the grass and in return they leave presents in the box.
