Book of the week – The Gobble, Gobble, Moooooo Tractor Book by Jez Alborough

This is one of Luath’s library books and this week she has been asking to have this one read first when I take the library books off the shelf.  She calls it the Farmer Dougal book.   While Farmer Dougal sleeps, sheep decides to pretend to drive the tractor with a baaaaaaa (the engine starting).  Cat joins in, followed by some more farm animals.  Each animal adding their noise to the tractor journey – Goose is the horn saying “get out of the way” with a honk honk honk.  The only concern is will it wake Farmer Dougal.

It is a book that needs to be read aloud and is lots of fun to do so.  Luath especially likes to join in with the cow and it’s long mooooooooo.  You can see Jez Alborough read the book here.  This site also has some colouring pages
