Toddler Kitchen – Frozen Cinnamon Bananas

toddler kitchen
We were reading a Disney book Luath received for her birthday and one of the stories had Special Agent Oso (a cartoon character) helping a girl make a healthy snack.  They made frozen cinnamon bananas.  Luath thought this sounded yummy and asked if we could make some.  It actually was a very toddler friendly snack to make.

Luath helped me peel two bananas. She then cut the bananas in half (I pointed to where to cut and held the banana still).  Luath has started cutting bananas and loves doing so.  Luath pushed some reusable lolly stick into each banana half. Next we sprinkled some cinnamon onto a plate and rolled the bananas.

The bananas were placed on a baking tray and placed in the freezer. In the book they were to be left for an hour.  Luath didn’t want to try one the day we made them so they stayed in our freezer for a few days.  She asked for one for breakfast one morning, she loved it so much she asked for a second, which she ate most of.

She has had the last two pieces as snacks but only ate half of each one, she mainly was licking the cinnamon.  I tasted them and they are too sweet for me.  We would make them again.
(Luath is 25 months)
