Usually it is easy for me to say which book was Luath's favourite of the week, this week was a little bit harder. Normally there is one book which Luath likes to be read a few times in a row and will keep returning to the same book throughout the day/week. This week she has started mostly only wanting the book read through once, she may start wishing a second read through, but very quickly deciding against it. She will then close the book, say "bye bye" (to the book) and go choose another.
Be quiet has been one of the books that has made it to three reads in one go and also more frequent pick up. It is a simple easy reader. Farmer Smith is sitting enjoying a biscuit, cuppa and the paper, but the animals in the barn are making a noise. Some animal sound practise. I like the pictures involving the dog and the cat and how they react as Farmer Smith gets more agitated at the noises from the barn - dog looking out the window, cat heading for the newly vacant chair. It ends with Farmer Smith going to the barn, all the animals and his wife are there to wish him a "Happy Birthday".
It is from a series called first steps in reading. Seems to just be sold as used copies now. Plenty other books similar out there, I just like the remember what Luath's book of the week was.
