(tiny) tot school - Nursery Rhyme - Mary had a little lamb

We were back to a nursery rhyme theme this week but still with an Easter animal.  Daddy was on holiday so we spent less time on our theme than usual.  Some Mary had a little lamb resource links I found.

The puzzles were only out a little as Luath's stubborn 7th tooth finally cut through the gum but is causing her to chew on anything and everything.  She still prefers picking up the puzzles pieces and getting me to sing the rhyme featured on them than do anything else with them.

I had forgotten about the book called a sheep has a leap, it is a fun action rhyme story.  I will keep this book out for next week as we only got a few reads of it.

Luath enjoyed having her little lamb follow her about although the dog got her lamb one day.

Watching the lambs near us- they are quite laid back.

I collected some wool caught in bramble bushes for Luath to feel, it wasn't "white as snow" but was lovely to touch, soft and warm

Music
We haven't been doing much listening over the past few weeks, so this week I made an effort to put on different types of music.  Luath likes to dance and her favourites this week were "You should be dancing" by the Bee Gees and a ceilidh tune that we heard on the radio.

Other things this week
Luath helped put together some furniture for her room.  She thought the new shelves and cupboards were the best toys ever. 

We did some cooking and baking together (carrot cake bars and pizza)


We went out for a meal, something we don't do often.  Luath had some of mummy's veggie curry, she liked the mango chutney and poppadom part the best.  She had a little of daddy's fish and chips.  We shared two scoops of vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce, Luath positively adored the ice cream (taking after mummy's side of the family!)
